Our difference
Why book with Aperture Travel?
Having been on many safaris ourselves, we’ve experienced first hand what sets a good safari apart from a life-changing one: authenticity, expert local guides and hands-on experiences that leave people, nature and wildlife in a better place.
We started Aperture Travel to bake this recipe into every trip, and to help cultivate a duty of care for nature in each guest.
Five core principles underlie each of our tours, designed to help you enjoy a stress-free, ethical and safe holiday:
01.
Tours curated by local experts
Locals know best. We partner with travel specialists familiar with the region’s best game parks, lodges and local experiences. It’s their insights that go into building your dream holiday and their passion that makes your trip memorable – down to the little things.
02.
Access the best wildlife guides and trackers
03.
Every trip funds conservation efforts
Our guests don’t come as voyeurs but rather as activists creating meaningful impact. Each safari and travel experience includes a small donation toward urgent wildlife conservation relief in South Africa (one of our headquarters), and where possible we offer guests hands-on experiences to support conservation efforts.
04.
Convenience for photographers
Nature has the power to reset our mind and unleash creative energy. As semi-professional and professional photographers ourselves, we craft photography safaris that cater to a range of skill levels. We arrange for modified private vehicles, safari guides who understand photography and know how to position vehicles for the best light, gear rental with access to the latest equipment to keep your luggage weight down, and photography lessons for those wanting to learn how to best capture wildlife through the lens.
05.
Safe and accessible holidays
We believe everybody should be able to enjoy the wonders of travel. We work with lodges and partners who prioritize mobility, accessibility and safety for all guests, including those with particular requirements for mobility, vision or hearing impairment and LGBTQIA+ safety concerns.
